 Press Releases

  • Bystronic Inc. and MSS Nitrogen Inc. establish Strategic Partnership for Sales of Bystronic Nitrogen Generation and Gas Mixing products, powered by MSS, into the North America market.

(Hoffman Estates, February 2021) Bystronic Inc. and MSS Nitrogen Inc. have entered into a partnership agreement to supply NitroCubeTM - Bystronic N2 Generation powered by MSS, and NitrO2 Mixing – Bystronic NitrO2 Mixing powered by MSS into the North America market. MSS Inc., located in Rockhill, SC will supply the Bystronic Nitrogen Generation and Mixing products as well as provide installation, training, and service. Bystronic Inc. will be responsible for the sales and distribution of these products. Bystronic will offer both the NitroCube and NitrO2 products powered by MSS; each model will have a specific scope of application based on the requirements of the customer.

NitroCubeTM is the most compact Nitrogen Generation system on the market and provides the guaranteed lowest cost and highest purity for Nitrogen. NitroCube is ideally suited to meet the demands of today’s ever-increasing Fiber laser cutting requirements. Typical Nitrogen purity generated by the NitroCube is 99.999% and systems are carefully sized using information based on user consumption figures, assuring correct flow and storage capacity. All NitroCube models deliver pressures at 4,350PSI and are modular and expandable retroactively if required. NitroCube standard models provide volumes from 11,000 ft3/day to 42,000 ft3/day. NitroCube high-flow range models provide volumes from 59,000 ft3/day to 169,500 ft3/day and with combined units up to 378,000 ft3/day, while reliably maintaining purity levels up to 99.999%. NitroCube provides the lowest cost for nitrogen and a short-term ROI compared to the costs of traditional bulk liquid gas supply and endless long-term contracts. There is no longer any need to transport gas. You only produce as much nitrogen as you actually need, all the additional costs related to – rentals, delivery, and replacing cylinders are eliminated.

The NitrO2 Mixing product offers the advantage of inline mixing of nitrogen and oxygen gas sources to create a custom mixture that both enhances edge quality and increases laser cutting speeds by up to three times faster compared to N2 or O2 single supplies. The NitrO2 is compact, portable, and mixes in real-time, and supports cutting pressures up to 500 psi. A separate mixing vessel is not required. Bystronic NitroCube and NitrO2 products powered by MSS, offer increased productivity, enhanced edge quality, reduced cost, and maximum profitability for the end-user with minimal floor space requirements.

  • New - ByTube 130 with 3kW
Available with up to 3kW Fiber laser power, the powerful, easy-to-operate Bystronic ByTube 130 delivers fast, flexible, and affordable laser tube processing for a wide range of material types and thicknesses in a fully automated workflow....

  • With the ByTube 130, Bystronic is introducing a new laser cutting system that offers fabricators and manufacturers an easy entry into tube processing, a growing manufacturing market with a bright future.

In the past, many metal processing job shops and original equipment manufacturers have limited their operations to the processing of sheet metal. In doing so, they have missed out on sales opportunities. With the new ByTube 130 laser cutting system, job shops can now gain access to new customer groups. After all, the fields of application for tubes are very diverse: from the automotive and construction industries right through to furniture, machine, and equipment manufacturers. Exploiting this market potential is critical to success in the metal processing business.

The ByTube 130 is the optimal solution for sheet metal processing companies that want to expand their capabilities. The automated system reduces the need for manual interventions, making entry into the field of tube processing particularly easy. Since 85 percent of the market potential lies in the small tube segment, the ByTube 130 is geared toward the processing of tubes with diameters between 3/8 and 5 inches and workpiece lengths up to 28 feet. The machine has a loading capacity of 11 pounds per foot. Since 2D cutting accounts for 90 percent of the market, the 2D cutting head can process a large number of customer orders.

Fiber laser ensures speed and flexibility

The ability to process a wide range of material types and thicknesses offers users the flexibility required to manage a diverse range of orders. Additionally, the ByTube 130 has the potential to substitute complex and cost-demanding processing steps: A growing number of fabricators and manufacturers are discovering laser cutting as an alternative to the two separate processes of sawing and drilling. The Fiber laser performs both simultaneously – and considerably faster. Thanks to clean-cutting edges, deburring is also a thing of the past. This not only results in reduced labor costs, the higher throughput speeds also reduce the costs per part, which constitutes a huge advantage in the competition for the best price.

    Software turns beginners into pros

State-of-the-art sheet metal processing is not possible without high-performance software. The powerful Bystronic ByVision Tube user interface is highly intuitive. All the functions relating to tube laser cutting are displayed on a single, 22-inch HD touch screen. Users can visualize realistic 3D part animations, create cutting plans, and monitor production processes with easy-to-operate software-driven menu selections. Even entry-level users without extensive experience can immediately operate the ByTube 130. Cutting jobs are set up quickly. Whether small series or large orders, with ByVision Tube, users move from the incoming order to the delivery of the finished parts in a quick and efficient workflow.
