Unlocking Robot Programming Possibilities
Are you programming your robots solely from the teach pendant? That could be holding you back. Language-based programming not only allows for the most powerful and flexible programming out there, but it’s simpler and more cost-effective than you may think. Even if your PC is already your preference, this session will break down how users can leverage the power of open, language-based programming to take their applications to the next level. It's time to take the training wheels off and start capitalizing on the most efficient, powerful, and cost-effective programming method on the market. Let's put down some code.

The Evolution of Robot Programming
From complex line programming in early robotic automation to artificial intelligence and "no-code" methods today, each iteration of programming advancements has unlocked the ability to automate in new markets. This presentation will give the audience familiarity with why programming is necessary for robots, understand the history of programming methods for the scalability of automation operation, and modern intuitive methods that offer added flexibility for new applications. They will also learn what methods are appropriately applied to different applications, from high-mix/low-volume to low-mix/high volume, and the strengths and weaknesses of each. Some of the programming methods covered include the following: Pendant programming with machine code; PLC programming methods; Offline programming software; Human-manipulated intuitive controls; Icon-driven interfaces; and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
