Beam Shaping Control -- Along with its higher speed, NEO comes with Mazak’s groundbreaking Variable Beam Parameter Product (V-BPP) technology. Originally released on our OPTIPLEX NEXUS S model, V-BPP has been enhanced for NEO. V-BPP better controls the laser beam for superior cut performance and enables users to select from high-intensity, small-spot-size beams to large, donut-shaped beams and everything in between. As a result, the high-performance laser-cutting torch delivers optimal thick and thin metal cutting. NEO provides higher cutting speed, superior edge quality, and improved piercing time.

CNC Control -- The NEO’s MAZATROL Smooth Lx control has a powerful new operating system with two large 21.5” touch screen panels designed for multi-operational tasks. Directional positioning of the control allows the operator to work from either side of the machine, providing more production flexibility.

Accessibility Control -- Large sliding doors on two sides of the NEO machine provide increased operator access to the entire work area and enhanced layout configurations. Additionally, many new automation solutions can be added to NEO to expand production further while maximizing floor space.

• MAZAK OPTONICS RELEASES OPTIPLEX 3015 NEO, THE LASER-CUTTING MACHINE THAT OFFERS HIGH POWER AND MAXIMUM CONTROL (Apr 05, 2022)

  Elgin, Illinois, March 2022 –

  Mazak Optonics Corp. has released the next generation of laser-cutting machines, the OPTIPLEX 3015 NEO 15kW.

  The OPTIPLEX 3015 NEO is equipped with technology that allows increased control of beam shape and beam diameter. The machine automatically adjusts beam diameter to optimally cut various materials and beam shape to control the concentration and power density of the laser beam. The result is improved cut speed and cut quality for a wide range of materials.

  Equipped with large front and side access doors, the OPTIPLEX 3015 NEO offers accessibility and ease of operation. Minimized work area restrictions make loading material onto the machine and unloading finished parts easier.

  The new MAZATROL SmoothLx CNC control features a large 21.5” screen and touch panel. Dual monitors allow multiple applications to run simultaneously. Additionally, the CNC control rotates giving operators the flexibility to work at the front or side of the machine.   

  Mazak’s OPTIPLEX 3015 NEO is equipped with a Nozzle Changer, Nozzle Centering Camera, Camera Assisted Part Nesting, and many other Intelligent Functions.

  The Nozzle Centering camera provides visibility of nozzle location while adjustments are made on the torch.

  Camera Assisted Part Nesting automatically determines arrangement of parts for cutting on remnant material.

  Intelligent Setup, Monitoring, and Cutting Functions support optimal laser-cutting performance.
