  TAB Industries is offering 10% off its best-selling TAB Wrapper Tornado Smart Controls orbital stretch wrappers on orders signed at FABTECH. The Smart Controls option features proprietary technology that enables the company's semi-automated TAB Wrapper Tornado Standard orbital wrappers to operate as automated orbital wrappers. The Smart Controls automatically set the stretch wrap dispensing unit at its home location in the wrapping ring, apply the stretch wrap around the pallet and load, cut the stretch wrap, and ready the plastic film for the next pallet load, all by a single press and release of start and stop buttons on a remote control by the forklift driver.

• TAB Wrapper Tornado Earns Patent for Orbital Stretch Wrapping Innovation (Jul 07, 2023)
  Reading, PA: Orbital wrapper manufacturer TAB Industries, LLC, Reading, Pa. (www.tabwrapper.com), has earned U.S. Patent No. 11,021,281 B2 for the development of an orbital stretch wrapping machine. Applied as the TAB Wrapper Tornado line of orbital wrappers, the patent recognizes the innovation as a packaging apparatus that wraps plastic stretch film 360 degrees around and under a palletized load by dispensing the stretch wrap from a circular ring as it rotates around a horizontal axis. This advance secures the pallet load to the pallet as a stable, unitized load and permits safe storage and transport without the need for boxes, banding, strapping or overpackaging.  

  Naming TAB Industries President Tom Brizek and Vice President Sales and Marketing Andrew Brizek as Inventors, the patent is directed to an orbital wrapper that applies both compression and lateral forces to the pallet load to solve a key shortcoming of turntable wrappers. This prevents loads from sliding off of the pallet and adds protection from damage in transit. 

   The line of patented orbital wrappers comprises TAB Wrapper Tornado Standard semi-automated models, Smart Controls automated models, Perfect Storm fully automated models, and a slate of additional stretch wrapping machines. • Dual Dispensing Orbital Wrapper Secures Pallet Loads with Two, Different Stretch Wraps (Jul 07, 2023)
  Reading, PA: The dual dispensing TAB Wrapper Tornado orbital wrapper from packaging machinery manufacturer TAB Industries, LLC, Reading, Pa. (www.tabwrapper.com), automatically applies stretch wrap around palletized loads from two, different roll dispensers at the same time to allow the use of two, different grades or types of stretch wrap on the same pallet load. Available as an option, the dual dispensing system permits packaging and shipping managers to integrate a wide range of stretch film properties as needed such as puncture-resistance, strength, opacity, thickness, and color without overspecifying. Applying a standard grade with a heavy-duty grade, or a thin, opaque stretch wrap with a durable, extra strength grade, or using two, different colors for branding and identification are among the choices when mixing and matching. 

  Offered on the company's automated TAB Wrapper Tornado Smart Controls models, the dual dispensing system applies the stretch wrap at twice the speed of orbital wrappers that use a single roll dispenser. • Orbital Wrapper Manufacturer Earns Second Patent (Jul 07, 2023)
  Reading, PA: Orbital wrapper manufacturer TAB Industries, LLC, Reading, Pa. (www.tabwrapper.com), has earned another patent for an advance in stretch wrapping. Following a patent earned for the development of its TAB Wrapper Tornado orbital stretch wrapper machine, the latest patent awarded as U.S. Patent No. 11,066,198 B2 recognizes the development of a novel stretch film dispenser for orbital wrapping machines. This patented dispensing system automatically applies tension to the stretch wrap as it is applied around the pallet and pallet load to stabilize the cargo faster and use less stretch wrap than previously possible with other stretch wrapping machines or by manual hand-wrapping. 

  Applied on the TAB Wrapper Tornado line of orbital wrappers, the patented stretch wrap dispenser sets the film roll within a circular ring assembly to dispense the stretch wrap around a horizontal axis as it rotates 360 degrees around and under the pallet and load. The innovation allows pallet loads to be stretch wrapped as secure, unitized loads in one minute or less by one worker versus approximately 15 minutes with multiple workers using other wrapping approaches.

Devised to help packaging and material handling professionals begin pallet wrapping with the TAB Wrapper Tornado orbital wrapper as quickly as possible, the new Quick Ship Program offers to deliver a new TAB Wrapper Tornado Standard model stretch wrap machine in as fast as two weeks, 50 percent faster than the typical lead time of four – six weeks. The optional program was developed following the company's recent facility expansion, which has streamlined operations, accelerated throughput, and increased overall production capacity. 

  The TAB Wrapper Tornado Standard model enables one operator to apply stretch wrap 360 degrees around and under a pallet and load to create a stable, secure, unitized,  load that withstands shifting in transit, eliminates product damage, and safeguards the pallet load. Following a 55 percent increase in sales from 2021, the Smart Controls option features proprietary technology that enables the company's semi-automated TAB Wrapper Tornado Standard orbital wrappers to operate as automated orbital wrappers. The Smart Controls automatically set the dispensing unit at its home location in the wrapping ring, apply the stretch wrap around the pallet and load, cut the stretch wrap, and ready the plastic film for the next pallet load, all by a single press and release of start and stop buttons on a remote control by the forklift driver.

  Available on the company's three TAB Wrapper Tornado Standard models, which offer 80-, 100- and 115-inch wrapping rings, the Smart Controls may be integrated with the original corded remote control or with the company's optional wireless remote control package, which enables the forklift driver to operate the entire process without leaving the seat of the lift truck.
