The Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI) is the finishing industry's FABTECH partner and is a technical and professional organization that provides inforamtion and training on industrial finishing technologies. CCAI works to raise the standards of finishing operations through its regional chapters, education and training programs, outreach with schools, colleges and universities, training manuals, and more.

CCAI's series of training manuals are regularly updated with the most current information. Our members have access to the latest trends in the finishing industry and that information can be applied to improve the overall finishing process. Manuals include Pretreatment, System Design, Powder Coating, Liquid Coating & Equipment, and Electrocoating. Most of the manuals are also available in Spanish.

These training manuals serve as the basis for the CCAI Finishing Academy online courses. Led by instructors with extensive industrial finishing experience, the self-paced multi-week courses include weekly assignments, regular quizzes, and a final project. Available courses include Pretreatment, System Design, Powder Coating, and Liquid Coating.

Women in Finishing (WiF), powered by CCAI, fosters personal and professional development for women who have chosen a career in finishing. WiF's signature event is the WiF FORUM, an annual conference that features a variety of professional development and industry related sessions, a plant tour, team building, and networking. WiF is inclusive of all women in the industry from the paint line to executive management.

In collaboration with the Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs Foundation and the CCAI Finishing Education Foundation, CCAI offers summer finishing camps for students aged 12-17. Through hands-on experiments and projects, guest speakers, and a plant tour, students receive an overview of industrial finishing including powder coating, liquid coating, and electrocoating - as well as pretreatment, masking, and curing.
