Fusion, Inc is demonstrating an aluminum induction brazing process with Fusion developed aluminum paste at the FABTECH Show in Chicago, September 11-14, 2023.
A specialized Fusion BAlSi-4 aluminum paste is applied around the parts complete circumference using a Fusion 615 Applicator and FE-71 Paste Gun. Following the paste application, inductive heating is used to braze the aluminum parts. The benefits of inductive heating allow for a more consistent, faster, and precise braze versus flame heating.
The induction brazing station demonstrates capabilities which can be incorporated into a custom Fusion automated brazing or soldering machine. The paste stripe application is controlled to deliver a precise amount of paste used to braze the parts. A heat slide positions an induction coil around the rotating part, which results in a consistent braze joint, increased penetration of alloy, and reduced hot spots. Come check us out at Booth 26093!
