  • Laser Welder G5-2000WC
G5-2000WC is the BEST VALUE laser welder on the market. Better than the big brand: Welds aluminum TWICE as fast. 33% MORE POWER but far cheaper. Superior finish on stainless and steel (double wobble system with 6 patterns). Australia's biggest seller....

  • 5X AS FAST AS TIG

Hand held laser welding is 5X AS FAST AS TIG for sheet metal, and ideally suited to high volume production.  The pay back is as short as 3 months.  Every sheet metal fabricator needs one, and now we are bringing them to the market at an affordable price.  Much less distortion and heat input than arc welding.

    Best on the market?

For aluminum our systems are superior to the big brand's base and mid range models, and weld aluminum more than TWICE as fast (based on weld.com's youtube video of the company technician welding 2mm aluminum at approx. 7mm per second.  We weld 3mm at 12mm per second with 100% penetration, as per our youtube video.  And our 1500W equivalent machine is half the price.

Our 2000W models have 33% MORE POWER than the most powerful unit (1500W).

Our system uses the best double wobble welding gun/head on the market, where the others use only single wobble (one dimensional tracing, moves left and right).  Our ability to trace circles and other 2-D patterns produces the best finish on stainless and carbon steel, and allows some pre and post heat as you weld crack sensitive materials such as 6000 series aluminum.

Born and proven in Australia, now in the USA

Laser-Welder is the laser welding specialist, and delighted to be in the USA as Laser Welder LLC, on laser-welder.net

After 2 years on the Australian market as laser-welder.com.au our products, quality, expertise and support are well proven.

Founded by a design engineer with 16 years at General Motors and 8 years at German companies Siemens VDO and Continental.

    Laser welding's advantages

    - Very fast on sheet metal up to 4mm thick.  Single pass with good fit up, due to keyhole penetration

    - Easy to do.  Less skill required.  A large number of pre-set programs.  Wire feeder provides automation of weld speed, for perfect welds every time.

    - Less heat input, so less sugaring, much less distortion, less HAZ due to smaller but very concentrated heat input

    - No spatter or UV burns

    - Laser cutting and cleaning function

    - You can also use it like a TIG, to melt filler rod for large gaps, or can lay rod in a gap and deeply melt it in.

    - Energy saving.  Welding faster uses less electricity and shielding gas (Argon or Nitrogen).

    Disadvantages

    - Not as good as MIG for filling large gaps, but the wire feeder with 0.060" (1.6mm) wire can fill up to 0.040" (1mm) in a single pass.

    - Safer in general, BUT fiber laser light can be focused by our eyes, so personnel in the room must use the correct laser glasses and helmet.  It also requires a controlled area.  Our units have a safety interlock (disable line) for connection to a door switch.

    - Not suited to building up large weld beads/fillets for heavy structural work. Laser welding gets its strength from penetration, but normal welding can have poor penetration so the procedures/drawings call up large fillet so the inspectors can see the weld.
