  • A line of split frame machines with tooling modules that hold double-edge
    Esco Tool of Holliston, MA has introduced blades that perform parting and double beveling for inline valve installation and replacement.

    The Esco COHOG® Split Frame Machine features a robust stationary ring machined from 7075 aluminum alloy that is hard coated and supports a custom steel forged, heat-treated, and nickel-plated rotating ring. Featuring a tooling module that holds double-edge blades, it is easy to set up using indexable tooling to perform parting and double beveling simultaneously.

    The Esco COHOG® Split Frame Machine provides precision-tuned eccentric bearings with vibration-free operation. It self-squares itself to the pipe and can be precisely aligned and quickly attached without shims or guesswork.

    Motor options include pneumatic, electric, or hydraulic power, and the double-edge blades reduce the cost of consumables.

  • Esco Tool of Holliston, MA, introduces a portable pipe beveler featuring large mounting clamp pads that spread their clamping forces radially to mount securely and provide chatter-free welding end preps.

    The Commander MILLHOG® I.D. Clamping pipe beveling machine can prep pipe from 3.75" I.D. to 14" O.D. using one mandrel and seven sets of clamps. Featuring three large, wide clamps that spread their contact forces radially inside the pipe for ultra-stable mounting, this beveler provides chatter-free operation to perform precision end preps on both thin and heavy wall pipe without requiring cutting fluids.

    Employing formed cutter blades with chip breakers that direct heat away from the pipe's surface to prevent work hardening, the Commander MILLHOG can perform 37-1/2° bevels, compound, counterbore, and J-preps on Super Duplex and other high-alloy pipe materials. Models with pneumatic, electric, and hydraulic motors are available.

  • Esco Tool of Holliston, Massachusetts, has introduced a new clamshell split-frame machine for beveling and end prepping tube and pipe. The machine features a new indexable module with a double-edge insert bit.


    The Esco COHOG® Split-Frame Machine features a new module that mounts to the tool slide and holds a pre-angled bit of 30 °, 37-1/2 °, or custom angles that are easy to change. It also uses double-edge insert bits, which are also easily changed. This clamshell machine has a robust stationary ring machined from 7075 aluminum alloy that is hard coated and supports a custom steel forged, heat-treated, and nickel-plated rotating ring. 

    Available with pneumatic, electric, or hydraulic power, the Esco COHOG® Split-Frame Machine has indexable tooling with slides and trip mechanisms and a marked locating system. It provides vibration-free operation, can be precisely aligned and quickly attached without shims or guesswork, and the rotating ring is supported by precision-tuned eccentric bearings.

    Esco's Rental Tools Program features the full line of MILLHOG® I.D. clamping welding end prep tools for beveling tube and pipe from l" to 48" dia., the COHOG® O.D. clamping tool for 2" to 36" dia., and the Universal Air Powered Saw and track systems for cutting pipe up to 60" diameter. 

    Manufactured in the U.S.A., Esco's Rental Tools can perform any degree of bevel on all alloys and cut extra heavy wall pipe to 36" dia. The Rental Program offers emergency support to minimize downtime and ensure the welding preparation job is done on time and within budget.

    • The ESCO APS-438 Air-Powered Saw and Quick-Clamp sets up fast using a 2"W steel track and has two wedge-style clamps that attach to steel plate up to 15'W by 3.5" thick and accepts the saw. Ideally suited for the on-site fabrication of ships and other large structures, the clamp lines up quickly and the pneumatic saw produces a stress-free cut with no HAZ. 

    Eliminating the damage and danger associated with torch cutting, the ESCO APS-438 Air-Powered Saw and the Quick-Clamp attaches without tack welding. Powered by a 3 HP pneumatic motor, the saw rigidly mounts onto a bracket that glides along a steel track on four V-grooved steel wheels and cuts with ±1/8" accuracy. The tracks come in 5' to 15' sections.
