Ficep Corporation of Forest Hill, Maryland produces both gantry and pull through style plate processors. At this year’s FABTECH Show they will introduce to the market a “Hybrid” plate processor that combines many of the advantages of both styles of plate processors.
The new FICEP Tipo G plate processor can be provided with dual independent high performance spindles (separate sub axis positioning) to perform high speed drilling, part scribing, milling, counter sinking, counter boring, tapping and more. The sub axis capability enables double the spindle productivity in the same footprint as single spindle systems.
Plates up to 4” in thickness are processed with massive material clamps that feature rack and pinion positioning. The Tipo G is available in both an 8 ft. and 10 ft. wide models that can be configured to process up to 40 ft. plates.
Multiple oxy-fuel and Hypertherm plasma bevel torches can be furnished.
