The Surface Treatment global business unit of the Coatings division of BASF, operating under the Chemetall brand, will exhibit a comprehensive portfolio of finishing operation products at FABTECH 2018 in Atlanta, GA, USA. On November 6 to 8, the Georgia Congress Center will host North America’s largest metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing event. At booth B4807, visitors will see why they can expect more from Chemetall in surface treatment, fabrication and finishing technologies.
Chemetall offers process chemistry designed to meet the most demanding specifications for manufacturing processes, conversion coatings, paints and substrates requirements. Its eco-friendly and highly efficient technologies are used in numerous industry segments and fabrication processes. One of the key products is the silane-based thin-film technology Oxsilan®, which provides a phosphorous free, robust, and higher productivity process.
New to the portfolio: Gardo® Etch and Tech Cool® products
Chemetall will highlight three new proven products: Gardo® Etch 8315/8316, Tech Cool® 35058, and Tech Cool 35037.
Chemetall has developed Gardo Etch 8315/8316 as an acid etch product which creates a decorative, bright, yet matte finish on aluminum. It produces an attractive finish at lower temperatures with less metal removal when compared to alkaline etch products.
Also new is Tech Cool 35058, a unique premium machining fluid developed specifically for applications requiring superior micro-finish on ferrous alloys, low and high carbon steels, titanium, molybdenum and tough alloys.
Tech Cool 35037 is a unique general-purpose machining and grinding fluid developed specifically for applications requiring efficient and economical performance on aluminum, and copper alloys.
