The FISCHERSCOPE® X-RAY XAN 500 is a universally applicable energy dispersive x-ray fluorescence measuring instrument for non-destructive coating thickness measurement and material analysis. The instrument is perfectly suitable for measurements in quality assurance, incoming inspection and process control. Thanks to its small size, you can measure even on difficult geometries. 
Typical fields of application include measurements on large coated parts, like machine components and housings; mobile measurements in electroplating shops and of precious metals; determination of the metal content of electroplating baths (solution analysis).   • The XAN®500 is a lightweight and mobile X-ray fluorescence instrument optimized for coating thickness measurement and alloy analysis. It is ideal for quality, incoming inspection and process control of electroplated, multilayer and alloy coatings. Due to its small size, it can measure on difficult geometries such as large irregularly shaped parts or in offline locations. Easily used by electroplating shops, machine shops, precious metals and determination of metal content in electroplating baths (solution analysis). This instrument can be easily used as a handheld device, as a fully enclosed desktop unit (measurement box) or integrated directly into production lines.

  • The pen-like PHASCOPE® PAINT is Fischer’s newest mobile measurement instrument. This handy device is designed for fast and easy coating thickness measurement and uses an App for the data analysis.

    Application in the field requires flexibility, as many different coatings need to be tested.  Paint coatings can be measured on magnetizable substrates such as steel or iron, as well as on non-magnetic metals such as aluminum – without the need to switch the device or the probe.

    Thanks to the very large measuring range up to 98 mils, it is particularly well-suited for very thick coatings. Additionally, it takes advantage of the computing power already in your pocket: the readings are analyzed and reported using a simple app for a smartphone or tablet.

    That’s why the PHASCOPE PAINT also has a conductivity compensation feature, which ensures accurate measurement results. This versatility allows for a wide variety of applications, from the automotive industry to heavy corrosion protection.
