Valuechain provides innovative technology to connect smart factories and smart supply chains to build a stronger Industry 4.0. Our DNA4.0® platform provides productivity solutions that streamline operations and convert data captured dynamically from people, plant and processes, into business intelligence.

With decades of manufacturing experience, we understand that every industry and vertical sector has specific needs, that can’t be covered by a ‘one-size-fits-all’ system. That’s why we optimise our software for specific requirements of industries and sectors.

Valuechain’s DNAam Production Control Software is optimised to handle the specialised demands of additive manufacturing. The innovative system integrates complex workflow and operations, such as build planning, comprehensive inventory management and the critical chemical analysis of powder batches and test pieces.

Following the award of a €3.2m Horizon 2020 project from the European Commission, we are working with global manufacturing businesses, governments, industry associations and Universities to continually innovate our smart technologies and connect cross-sector collaborative ecosystems that can compete as world class supply chains.

 Press Releases

  • In a specialist presentation at the at the 7th International Conference On 3D Printing & Additive Manufacturing Technologies, British software company, Valuechain, launched their DNAam production control software for additive manufacturers in the Indian market.

The launch into India marks the second stage of the company’s roll-out strategy, following a successful European launch in June. Valuechain CEO, Tom Dawes stated “Since launching in Europe in June, we’ve had a fantastic reception to DNAam, and we’re keen to extend our offering to support more additive manufacturing companies world-wide.”

Valuechain now supports a number of companies utilising additive manufacturing, including Airbus UK and Zenith Tecnica.

“We strongly believe it’s important for manufacturers across the world to have access to the newest technologies, and launching DNAam in India is a huge step towards building world-class global supply chains.”

The software is designed to the specific needs of additive manufacturing companies, integrating complex workflow and operations, such as build planning, comprehensive inventory management and the critical chemical analysis of powder batches and test pieces.

  • British software developer, Valuechain Technology has acquired the assets of calibration software developer Retriever Technology.

Valuechain’s acquisition of Retriever Technology is the latest in a string of actions to develop their DNA4.0® platform into a holistic solution for manufacturing businesses to prepare for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It builds on the acquisition of Tricorn Systems in 2016, the formation of a data science team in Bangalore and recent announcements of collaborative projects through LCR4.0 with University of Liverpool, John Moores University, Sensor City, Hartree Centre and IBM.

Retriever Technology has been providing specialised calibration software for over 30 years to hundreds of advanced manufacturing companies, including BAE Systems, GKN, Toyota, Cosworth and Force India.

Valuechain’s CEO Tom Dawes explained the strategy behind the acquisition “We plan to combine the proven Retriever calibration software with the latest sensor technology and machine learning algorithms to connect smart factories using our DNA4.0® platform.

Over the next few years, manufacturing businesses are going to invest significantly in Industry 4.0 technologies which will generate huge volumes of data. However, to generate effective return on investment, companies must convert data into intelligence by ensuring that the right data is shared in the right format, with the right people, at the right time.

The first aspect is assuring that reliable data is consistently generated from standardised processes, and we see integrating Retriever’s calibration software as a key step to helping our clients capture reliable data from their assets”.

Richard Tatlow, founder of Retriever Technology, commented “We are delighted to have sold our business to an organisation that has the vision, team and technology to transform our calibration software into a world leading solution.”

  • British software developer, Valuechain has acquired the Xactio supply chain portal business from Canda Systems.

This acquisition supports Valuechain’s buy and build strategy to integrate complementary technologies focused on advanced manufacturing supply chains.

First developed in 2006, by Canda Systems, Xactio is currently used by several global organisations such as Rolls Royce, Ultra Electronics and Gardner Aerospace to streamline internal procurement activities and improve two-way supply chain collaboration.

Valuechain’s CEO, Tom Dawes, explained the strategy behind the acquisition “Xactio has a growing blue-chip client base underpinned by an innovative and intuitive supply chain portal technology. More and more manufacturing organisations are recognising that future competitiveness is reliant on the performance of their supply chain partners. The software provides a solution to this challenge, streamlining and automating communication of operational, technical and commercial data for multi-tier advanced manufacturing supply chains.

We will be integrating Xactio within our iQluster supply chain intelligence and collaboration platform which has been part funded by the European Commission to establish next generation supply chain optimisation solutions.”

Chris Hayward, Director of Canda Systems commented “Valuechain is a great home for Xactio as we are able to combine over 10 years of supplier portal experience with the significant Valuechain development resources and proven routes to market.”
