The Mountain West Advanced Manufacturing Network, a Department of Defense program for creating an intelligent network of distributed AM machines plugged into a central R&D knowledge base, enables manufacturers to deploy and qualify new AM processes and materials more rapidly than they could on their own. Each member company is able to leverage tens of millions of dollars of R&D as well as the experiences of all other member companies. In return, the program creates a resource for DOD that can help the United States meet wartime manufacturing needs. The program is led by the Alliance for the Development of Additive Processing Technologies (ADAPT) in collaboration with University of Utah, NextManufacturing, Citrine, and the Utah Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), all participating in our RAPID+TCT exhibit. Stop by to find out more about the latest advancements in machine learning R&D for AM, as well as new education programs and ways to participate in the Mountain West Advanced Manufacturing Network.
