Linear AMS, the leading provider of Additive Manufacturing (AM) Solutions, leverages 3D metal and plastic printing expertise, CAD-based advanced technologies, and traditional manufacturing to produce metal and plastic prototypes, pre-production, production parts, tooling/injection molds, & conformal cooling inserts. Linear accelerates the curve in AM adoption and the practical application of advanced manufacturing in the supply chain through Linear AMS Technology Transfer Programs—Training, Staffing, Consulting, Microfactories and R&D Pods. We go beyond making “cool parts” and deliver real products that work in applications for aircraft, space & defense, oil & gas, energy, industrial components, automotive, medical/dental and consumer/commercial goods.

 Products

  • HP Multi-Jet Fusion
3D Printing process that achieves functional prototypes and final parts within days through applying fusing and detailing agents across a bed of nylon powder to deliver fine details and dimensional accuracy....

  • Multi-Jet Fusion allows for printing prototype and production parts faster and at a fraction of the cost of tooling. This process is the perfect alternative to injection molding when needing low-volume production of complex parts, prototypes for function testing and small components in a matter of hours/days.

    The Process:

Nylon powder is laid in a thin layer across the working area and is then scanned by the material coater carriage from top to bottom.

The printing and fusing carriage with an HP thermal inkjet array and energy sources scans from right to left. Functional agents are printed in precise locations to define the part’s geometry and properties and is then scanned by the printing and fusing carriage.

After the work area is retracted, the material coater carriage scans in the reverse direction and the process is continued layer by layer until the part is completed. Once the part is completed, it is moved to post processing where it is bead blasted and finished.

  • DMLM - EOS M280
Our additive manufacturing processes allow us to create 3D objects from digital CAD files. This involves building up of thin layers of materials, one at a time....

  • We can produce multiple shapes previously impossible by traditional machining techniques. These methods can be integrated into our current processes to reduce manufacturing steps, lower costs and increase overall production rates. In addition to manufacturing parts, our conformal cooling lines can be manufactured utilizing the DMLM technology, allowing cooling lines to reach areas not possible using traditional methods.
