  • High Quality and User-oriented Machine for Metal AM Production

"The material data we're seeing on the 301 is at the top tier in the industry,” The FS301M U.S. aviation customer stated after reviewing the testing result, “With surface roughness below 5um Ra, static performance at or above wrought, and fatigue performance within the order of magnitude of wrought with as-built surface, the 301 finally allows for economical production without compromising part quality."

    Highly Productive

Dual-laser scanning strategy and calibration algorithms improve build efficiency by precisely controlling both lasers’ operation, achieving intelligent distribution of each laser while building a single large part or multiple smaller parts. Both lasers have full coverage of the build area and can be set to use only one laser per part. This allows for reduced certification burden for the aerospace industry by constraining each part to a single laser. Industry leading signal communication speeds and robust recoating speeds ensures minimal delay between each layer of the build. An increased build cylinder volume, as compared to previous generations of machines, measures 305 × 305 × 400mm and is well suited for larger-sized applications and improved productivity within a single build. Excellent air tightness design of FS301M enables extreme oxygen content as low as 10 ppm during the build process, ensuring powder quality consistency for the best quality of the printed part.

    Enhanced User Operation

With an integrated powder-loading dock on the FS301M, the material adding operation can be accomplished under an inert gas atmosphere for streamlined workflow and improved environmental safety. A shared material container is used during loading, unloading and the sieving procedures offering more convenient powder-handling and transportation between the stations. Convenient features such as pre-heated base plates, electric leveling, and advanced vision systems allow for more robust process and quality control.

    Compact Machine Design

The FS301M features a machine footprint as small as 3.64 square meters with an integrated, long-lasting filtration system with operation time up to 1500 hours. With designated operational access from only the front and rear, the FS301M achieves one of the most compact installation space requirements among similar sized powder-bed based systems on the market. In an additive factory setting, the FS301M allows for high density layouts with minimal side distance, in order to achieve maximum throughput yield per floor area at an economical additive production cost.

  • Farsoon Flight HT403P Plastic PBF System
Application of Flight Technology on Farsoon's flagship laser sintering system 403P leads to a powerful, yet versatile polymer additive production, offering improved throughput (with 400x400x450mm build size) & high-temp-capable configuration....

  • Flight Technology™ – The next generation of High-speed Plastic Laser Sintering

Since first introduced at TCT Asia 2019, multiple Flight 403P systems have been intensively operating at domestic and global industrial partners for commercialized productions. "We are evolving our company in huge steps," excited Alain Stebler, CEO of Rapid Manufacturing AG, says, "We are convinced that with the already 10-year-old FARSOON, we have found a reliable partner who helps us to offer high-quality parts at extremely attractive prices."

Flight Technology™ or Fiber Light Technology takes advantage of powerful fiber lasers in place of the standard CO₂ lasers found in standard laser sintering systems. A fiber system is capable of delivering greatly increased power to the powder bed. Due to the more robust and stable nature of a fiber laser system as compared to a CO₂ system Flight Technology™ also provides increased laser longevity which is key when considering ROI for manufacturing applications. In addition with its increased power and energy absorption characteristics Flight Technology™ will be capable of accessing a much different range of process-able materials and operational flexibility as compared to standard laser sintering systems, which allows for increased freedom for future AM material and application development.

With robust laser power, improved energy distribution to the material, and smaller laser spot size, the new Flight Technology™ achieves significantly higher power density upon reaching the surface of the powder bed, thus enabling the full sintering of powder in an extremely short amount of time. With scanning speed of over 20m/s (66 ft/s), Flight Technology™ is able to achieve extreme sintering speeds that pushes the additive manufacturing productivity to a new level.

    Fine Detail & Performance

Flight Technology™ was developed to take advantage of a new set of unique scanning algorithms, a powerful dynamic optical system, and the advantages of a system with fully open parameters. Flight Technology™ is able to achieve a more homogenous energy distribution over the processing surface, and a finer spot size compare to the standard laser sintering systems, while at the same time ensuring good energy penetration throughout the entire process. This results in improved feature detail compared to other plastic powder-based technologies with feature details as small as 0.3mm (0.012 inch) while still achieving the part property benefits of standard laser sintering.

    Flight 403P Series

Application of Flight Technology™ on Farsoon's flagship production system 403P series leads to a powerful, yet versatile polymer additive production. The Flight 403P series is offered in multiple industrial solutions including production-sized build cylinder for improved throughput and high-temperature-capable configuration. Like all Farsoon systems, the new Flight 403P Series is truly open. This means that machine parameters and powder choice are unlocked for the users, allowing for unparalleled freedom and flexibility when it comes to industrial polymer laser sintering production.
