• Verisurf Software 2023 Available for Download (Jan 30, 2023)

  Verisurf Software, Inc. announces its new 2023 release is now available for download. All new and current customers with current maintenance agreements can access Verisurf 2023 directly from the Verisurf Website. Verisurf 2023 includes new automated workflows that improve efficiency and expand repeatable process control for inspection, reverse engineering, and tool building applications.

  Verisurf is the only measurement software built on a full-featured 3D CAD platform and is committed to intelligent Model-Based Definition (MBD). This lets users perform measurement workflows in a seamless CAD environment and maintains model-based digital continuity. “Verisurf is committed to simplifying measurement workflows and applying intelligence to our products, supporting our customers with measurement solutions that work the way they do. • Verisurf Software Announces Engine Builder Performance Package (Jan 30, 2023)
  Verisurf Software, Inc. announces the Verisurf Engine Builder Performance Package, a complete 3D measurement software, hardware, training, and support package for reverse engineering, designing, building, and verifying high-performance engines and components. The performance package is designed specifically for engine builders to replicate and check race-winning engine heads, blocks, pistons, crankshafts, intake and exhaust ports, camshafts, conrods, rocker stands, and more.

  The main components are the popular Master3DGage portable CMM arm powered by Verisurf software. The Master3DGage, is a high precision, 6-Axis, 1.2m portable CMM arm that is compact and shop-floor ready, with everything engine builders need to ensure the build of race-winning products right out of the box.

  The Engine Builder Performance Package Includes: Verisurf CAD, Measure, Reverse, and Quick Surface software modules; Master3DGage portable CMM arm; two long shaft silicon nitrate port probes; installation and setup videos; four days of custom reverse engineering and inspection training; unlimited online video training; two years of software updates and technical support.

  An optional laser scanner is also available for added flexibility when reverse-engineering or verifying complex combustion chambers or piston surfaces. The Master3DGage scanner features non-contact 3D laser scanning at a capture rate of 45,000 points per second, a long stand-off distance, and an integrated range finder for ease of use.

• Top Gun: Maverick's Darkstar Concept Brought to Life by ADM Works and Verisurf (Jan 30, 2023)

  There has been a lot of talk about the blockbuster movie, “Top Gun: Maverick,” and the featured hypersonic jet, Darkstar, that propels Tom Cruise to the edge of the atmosphere at Mach 10.2. Were special effects used to capture the drama? Of course, but there was also a lot of realism. The Darkstar plane is a model, but just barely. It is a 70-foot-long full-scale rolling model with a 40-foot wingspan. It is based on aerospace design principles, built using carbon fiber, has functional landing gear, and features a realistic cockpit. The Darkstar was designed by Lockheed Martin Skunk Works and precision built by ADM Works in Orange County, Calif. Though the model did not actually fly it was fabricated using aerospace materials and processes, including extensive use of Verisurf Software, Inc.’s metrology software for reverse engineering, inspection, and assembly guidance.
