 Press Releases

  • Arburg Plastic Freeforming: Manufacture Components Up Tp 55% Faster

    • Optimised: Freeformer software speeds up additive manufacturing by up to 55%
    • Quick and easy: new and improved support material saves material, reduces build time and part cost
    • Water-soluble: remove support material without any post finishing work

Arburg has optimised their software's support strategy for all its Freeformer machines. Water-soluble Armat support materials can be applied in a grid structure that is optimised for Arburg Plastic Freeforming (APF). This will shorten build times in the APF process by up to 55% – while also reducing material consumption and part cost. The water-soluble support material can then be washed out without manual finishing work.

  • The Freeformer 300-3x High Temp utilizes ARBURG's APF (Arburg Plastic Freeforming) additive technology to print with thermoplastic pellets. The 300 High Temp can print up to three materials simultaneously to create single or multi-material components. The High Temp option brings access to high performance materials such as Ultem 9085. With this open materials system, companies can print parts for prototyping to production applications in real thermoplastic materials. Powerful software allows users to change part densities and customize print jobs. The Freeformer 300 put the power of additive in the user’s hands.
