  • When Technology, Ergonomics and Functionality Come Together

For over three decades, the »venturion« series at ZOLLER has stood for uncompromising precision in tool measurement. With modular equipment options, a high degree of system openness, and smart automation capabilities, this vertical presetting and measuring machine is now more versatile than ever - a central element for seamless processes on the shop floor.

    From Vision to Versatile Platform
In the late 1980s, ZOLLER laid the foundation for a new category of vertical presetting and measuring machines with the first generation of »venturion«. Originally based on projector technology and now equipped with powerful image processing and state-of-the-art control systems, the series continues to set the benchmark. ZOLLER’s high standards in ergonomics and design have been recognized internationally, including with the iF Design Award. Decades of proven performance have led to continuous innovation: today's »venturion« series offers everything modern manufacturing demands – from precise tool measurement to smart inspection, shrinking technology, and even wear detection using »z.KI«.

    Modular, Precise, Adaptable
Whether in contract manufacturing, toolmaking, or series production, the »venturion« can be configured to meet any requirement. It integrates seamlessly into any production environment and can be paired with modules such as »smartCheck«, »reamCheck«, »redomatic«, »ace«-Spindle, or the »micBox«. Tools are measured with micrometer-level precision, with length, diameter, step height, and tip position automatically recorded for subsequent processes. The integrated zero-point monitoring reliably protects against tool collisions. Even especially long or heavy tools pose no challenge – the »venturion 800« offers clamping ranges of up to 1,600mm in length, 1,400mm in diameter and 3,500N in weight.

    Operation Made Easy
With the »pilot 4.0« software and features such as graphical tool selection or the automatic measuring sequence, precision becomes intuitive. Operation can be performed via touchscreen, chip, or QR code. Standard measurements are simplified with the »elephant« function – ideal for fast, accurate results without extensive training.

    Suitable for All Tool Types
The high-precision »ace«-spindle with quick-change adapters enables poweroperated clamping for all common tool holding systems – from HSK to SK, VDI, BMT, and KM – with adapter changes in seconds. This ensures maximum flexibility, even for future tooling standards.

Expandable for Inspection, Shrinking, and Identification
With the »smartCheck« module, the »venturion« becomes a complete solution for optical tool inspection – including a swiveling camera, LED ring light, and cutting-edge quality documentation. For turning tools, a center-height camera measures the exact tip height at the push of a button, ideal for reamers, boring bars, and threading tools. In combination with the »redomatic« heat-shrinking module, the device becomes a fully integrated solution for both measuring and shrinking – fast, length-accurate, and process-reliable.

    Data Security with »zidCode 4.0«
ZOLLER offers multiple tool identification technologies, including RFID and QR codes, tailored to your budget, machine setup, and interface requirements. The »zidCode 4.0« system allows secure transfer of measurement data without a network connection. With »zidCode 4.0«, measurement data is encoded directly on the presetting device and scanned into the machine via QR code for a simple, fast, and error-free workflow.

    Certified and Visibly Documented
Each »venturion« is certified according to international standards and comes with a quality seal featuring the name and photo of the responsible specialist. This is not only a symbol of tested safety but also a sign of the care and genuine craftsmanship behind every single device.

    Conclusion
The »venturion« series stands for customized tool measurement – configurable, intuitive, and seamlessly connected. In combination with ZOLLER Solutions, it forms a powerful system for maximum precision, efficiency, and digital manufacturing reliability – no matter how complex the requirements.
