    Tapping Tools

    Tapping is a common application that’s best done in the punch press to prevent time-consuming secondary operations. Wilson Tool offers tapping tools for both thick turret and TRUMPF-style machines. QuickTap™ is the fastest and most reliable tapping tool on the market. It not only taps up to 200 holes per minute, but it’s made and serviced by Wilson Tool International. That means you get the responsiveness and delivery you expect from the provider you trust. The TRUMPF-style tapping tool creates fast, accurate threads at any programmed location on the sheet with a wide variety of available tap sizes.

    Express Crowning™ System

    Designed to help control deflection on the press brake, the Express Crowning™ system allows for fine-tuning the curve of press brake bends resulting in defect free parts over four feet long. The system allows the user to adjust crowning to a macro and micro degree so that compensation is catered to the nuances built into the machine. Manual or electric power crowns the lower beam and dies are secured with manual or hydraulic power.

    XSharp™ Grinder

    Suitable for most tooling styles, the fully automated X-Sharp™ grinder provides highly stable bearing properties to ensure a high level of precision and an excellent surface finish on sharpened tools. It is simple to program and use with automatic height detection, wheel wear compensation and a user-friendly touch screen controller.

    Typically, fabricating a four-sided sheet metal pan is a time consuming process requiring multiple bends on the press brake, followed by secondary welding and grinding operations to finish the corners. A new corner forming tool from Wilson Tool makes it possible to bend and finish corners in the press brake. The Corner Former saves time by eliminating secondary operations and produces a higher quality part with a smoother finish.

    Brake Partner™

    As fabricators have migrated from punch presses to laser cutting machines, fewer punch presses are available in shops for punching and forming operations. A new holder from Wilson Tool makes it possible to use existing punch press tooling, in the press brake to produce holes and forms in-house even when no punch press is available, helping to lower costs and reduce lead times. The press brake holder can be used with or without guide posts.
