ACT manufactures standardized test panels from a wide range of metal substrates including cold rolled steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel, numerous aluminum alloys, and a variety of die cast substrates.  These standardized test panels may be purchased as bare metal or with specific coating layers.  Coating options include a variety of iron phosphates, zinc phosphates, aluminum conversion coatings, thin film pretreatments, electrocoats, primers, and topcoats.

ACT also operates an ISO 17025 accredited independent materials testing laboratory.  Our laboratory specializes in paint performance and coating system evaluations for the Automotive, Aerospace, Ag and Construction Equipment, Architectural, and Military industries.  We perform a full range of tests including Cyclic Corrosion, Salt Spray, Humidity, UV Exposure, Acid Salt Spray, Copper Acetic Salt Spray, Fluid and Chemical Resistance Testing, and many others.  Our ability to apply coatings from pretreatment and electrocoat to liquid and powder paint systems has uniquely positioned us to provide compatibility testing, material qualification testing, and approval services as well.

  • Audit Kits for Paint Lines
Audit kits are designed with bare metal and treated metal panels to monitor quality and help identify and solve problems on your paint and pretreatment line....

  • Do you know how well the coatings you applied today will hold up in the field?  How do the coatings you applied today compare to those you applied yesterday?  With audit kits from ACT you will be better equipped to answer these questions.

Typical audit kits consist of bare metal panels and pretreat control panels.  You choose the types of metal and pretreatment.  On whatever frequency you decide, place a bare metal panel on your line and process through pretreat and topcoat.  Next place the pretreat control panel on your line between the pretreat and topcoat process.  Once the painted panels are cured you are ready for testing and evaluation.

Your audit panels may now be placed into test at your facility or alternatively they may be sent to ACT's independent ISO17025 accredited materials test lab for testing.

Not only will you have the confidence that your coatings are applied as they should, you will also have the data to support any questions that may arise in the future.
