LestaUSA is simple self-learning robotic paint and coating technology that mirrors intricate human movements without the need for complicated programming or teach pendants.

Robotic Finishing Day One - This isn't your typical robot. Lesta robots record the movement and spray technique of your best painter or finishing technician in a weightless self-learning mode. Their skills are saved and repeated on future jobs. It's so easy, you can be finishing robotically on Day One.

What you need to know

  • Upon completion of the installation, a manufacturer of any size can make their own programs and painting robotically on Day One.

  • The painter or finishing technician can initiate the program and see the end results minutes after programming the robot.

  • Ideal for any size company, as it does not require engineers or programmers on staff.

  • Built for industrial finishing applications, for both liquid and powder coating on metal, wood, composite materials, ceramics and plastics.

  • Is like taking the work of your best painter and hitting “copy” and “repeat.

  • Robotic finishing without complicated programming or a teach pendant.

  • Italian performance made possible now in the USA.

  • LestaUSA is the North American distributor, integrator, manufacturer and technical support of Lesta robots.

Suction/Blow-off Robots

Lesta robots can suck-out or blow-off trapped water on parts during paint prep. Just as the robot is programmed for painting, finishing line attendants guide the robot through the appropriate sequence to ensure the moisture is dealt with.

  • Programs are made without a gap in production and immediately ready for the next part, freeing up your talent to help your company accomplish more.

  • Eliminate the presence of moisture on a part, even after the exiting a dry-off oven, to lessen possiblity of paint defects.

  • LestaUSA Brings Self-Learning Italian-Engineered Robotic Painting Technology

    to United States Manufacturers

Lesta has announced its entry into the U.S. market as LestaUSA to allow manufacturers to incorporate robotic painting technology without the need for programming.

With its roots in Italy, LestaUSA offers affordable technology for both liquid and powder coat applications. “Our robotic technology itself isn’t new,” said Derek DeGeest, President of LestaUSA. “What’s unique here is that LestaUSA’s proven technology is so simple that, upon completion of the installation, a manufacturer of any size can literally be making their own programs and painting robotically on Day One.”

Whereas other robotic painting technology requires engineers and robotic programmers, LestaUSA is self-learning and only needs your painter. Lesta robots go into a weightless learning mode while in the hands of a company’s best painter, who then performs the painting cycle on a desired part as the software creates its own robotic code of every movement and paint spray. The painter’s exact technique, including the application of the paint, is saved and then mirrored by the robot on future jobs.

“Adding LestaUSA robotic systems will improve any operation’s efficiencies and bottom line,” added DeGeest. “Painters are amazed when they see their work automated by the robot. It’s like capturing the knowledge of your best painter and hitting copy and repeat to free up your talent to help your company accomplish more.”

LestaUSA will make its U.S. debut at Booth #11054 at FABTECH® 2019 in Chicago. For those not attending FABTECH®, the technology can be seen firsthand at LestaUSA’s showroom inside DeGeest Steel Works near Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Appointments to experience and use a Lesta robot can be made by phone (1-888-546-2800) or email (robotics@lestausa.com).

  • LestaUSA Introduces Suction/Blow-off Robot

to Efficiently Eliminate Water Pockets during Paint Preparation

LestaUSA offers a needed solution to eliminate moisture on parts by developing suction/blow-off robots using their new-to-North America finishing robotic technology.

“The presence of moisture on a part after exiting the dry-off oven is a major contributor to paint defects,” said Brad Ruppert, Paint Applications Specialist for LestaUSA. “Our Suction/Blow-off robots are simple to program to eliminate water pockets prior to entering the dry off oven during paint preparation.”

Most manufacturers that have a multi-stage wash for their coating operations struggle with getting rid of pockets of standing water even with the aid of a dry-off oven. Removing these pockets of water are costly with traditional methods; someone manually blowing off every part destined for the oven, re-engineering parts so that they contain more drain holes, or turning up the oven temperature to evaporate the standing water.

“Using LestaUSA Suction/Blow-off robots instead of traditional options will improve any operation’s efficiencies and bottom line,” said Derek DeGeest, President of LestaUSA. “We are currently taking pre-orders before the January 31, 2020 release date. There is a lot of excitement about this new robotic application. We’ve decided to offer pre-orders to guarantee an early install as we ramp up production.”

What’s unique is no complicated programming. Lesta’s proven technology is so simple that, upon completion of the installation, a manufacturer of any size can literally be making their own programs and using these robots.

Lesta robots go into a weightless learning mode while in the hands of a finishing line attendant, who guides the robot through the appropriate sequence to ensure the moisture is dealt with as the software creates its own robotic code of every movement.
