  • New laser sensors are combined with high-speed controls so seam and part locations can be processed in real time. A dedicated program compensates path and adapts welding parameters for seam location and variation. Pathfinder reliably tracks weld seams simultaneous with welding more than 2x faster than other methods. This permits automation in parts with inherent variations, such as welding around larger cylinders.
    Pathfinder is also used prior to welding for joint mapping when coupled with a proper data tracking system. Weld inspection and traceability is quickly becoming an industry standard for welding. Return on investment comes as a figurative insurance policy in that Pathfinder reduces weld placement errors and the re-work that comes with it.
