• New Grinding Wheel Blends Rapid Stock Removal and Operator Control (May 13, 2021)

  Sigma Z, a high-performance grinding wheel for stainless steel, carbon steel, mild steel, galvanized steel, and alloys, is now available from Rex-Cut Abrasives.

  Sigma Z grinds stainless steel welds up to 15% faster than other leading wheels. In addition to a high material removal rate, this new wheel features cool grinding, extended wheel life, and a chatter free operation.

  Engineered to be aggressive on metal and easy on the operator, Sigma Z is precision balanced for a noticeably chatter free and quiet operation.

• Aluminator Grinding Wheel: New Formula for Faster Grinding (May 13, 2021)

  The Aluminator Grinding Wheel by Rex-Cut Abrasives has a new and improved formula for faster weld grinding. The new Aluminator grinds 2.2 times more aluminum weld per minute compared to the original version and as for life, this revised formula outlasts the original wheel by 46%.

  The Aluminator Grinding Wheel grinds and blends aluminum without clogging or loading. This cotton fiber wheel naturally breaks down as heat is generated, resulting in constant sharp grit being exposed to the aluminum work piece, eliminating loading and the need for wax or grinding aids. Rex-Cut’s Aluminator offers increased grinding action, smooth operator control, very low vibration, with a RA finish of 200.

  “In addition to the non-loading properties, the unique construction provides a very consistent metal removal rate for the entire life of the wheel,” states Jon Blake, R&D Manager. “Unlike other grinding wheels geared for aluminum, the entire working section of this wheel can be used without sacrificing productivity or finish.”

  Rex-Cut is producing this wheel in the original thickness and now a ¼” thick version for additional life.

  The Aluminator is now available in 4.5”, 5”, 6”, and 7” diameters, in 36 grit.

• Max Flex: When Surface Finish Matters (May 13, 2021)

  Rex-Cut’s Type 27 Max Flex wheels are designed to grind and blend stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum and more in just one step.

  The flex provides a wide surface contact allowing Max Flex to leave a uniform finish and give optimum blending control.

  Max Flex can be used at a 45° angle for an increased metal removal rate or at a 30° angle for a smoother finish.

  Due to the cotton fiber construction, Max Flex constantly reveals fresh abrasive grain, producing a consistent finish throughout the wheel life. The even wear gives Max Flex a longer life than flap discs, minimizing change over.

  Whether your needed finish is desired for cosmetic reasons or to meet strict specifications set by FDS regulators, Max Flex wheels provide flexibility in achieving better results in less time with fewer steps.

  Max Flex is available in 4-1/2”, 5”, 6”, and 7” diameters in A36 and A54 grits.
