Founded in 1998, in LaPorte, Indiana Master Roll has evolved from a humble 11,000 square foot facility to 4 buildings of that size and most recently, into a 71,000 square foot facility in the neighboring town of New Carlisle, Indiana. Our specialty is reconditioning and manufacturing new work rolls, intermediate rolls, backups, and bearings to support the toll processing industry and has been our primary business focus. We excel in supporting surface finish critical operations and provide our customers with troubleshooting and design consultation support as a value-added service.
This growth and transition have been in the plans since ownership changed in late 2016. The original projection was to combine the machine shop, manufacturing, and heat treat into a single facility by 2023. However, opportunity presented itself for us to acquire a facility that would comfortably absorb the 4 previous locations and leave us some room for future growth.
The strategic plan of the owners has always been to move Master Roll into an environment conducive to servicing larger diameter and heavier parts than previously possible. “This facility puts us in a great position for growth. We have doubled our production and sales since 2016 and have plans in place to do so again within the next four years.” said Paula Hill, General Manager at Master Roll Mfg. “There is no doubt that this move will open up many new business opportunities.” said Brad Radkiewicz, Sales Manager, MBI Rolls, a sister company to Master Roll Manufacturing, Inc.
