FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT...

The EB-RH series bending head drive system provides complete freedom of movement. The 360° rotation, combined with the vertical and horizontal axes, allows a quick positioning for the production of very complex bending work. The solution chosen by VLB for the rotation is extremely compact and maintenance-free.

It is structurally robust yet lightweight and with a low inertia, allowing for high bending speeds and rapid tool selection adjustments. This unique design dramatically reduces the cycle time of complex bending workpieces.

EASY INTEGRATION

The 360º rotation system, together with the vertical and horizontal movements, contributes to the wide range of movement of the bending head and, if necessary, deflecting the head so that the positioning carriage advances beyond its normal limits.

This feature is particularly important to facilitate integration with automatic loading and unloading systems.

COMPACT RIGHT AND LEFT TURN BENDING

The EB models full electric bending machine can be changed manually to the right and left depending on the customer's need or a specific order. The vertical and horizontal movements contribute to the wide range of motion of the bending head.

This feature is especially important to facilitate integration with automatic loading and unloading systems.

TUBE CUTTING SYSTEM

Production optimisation is an increasingly important topic. In order to save time, material and electricity consumption and to increase the productivity of our machines, we have developed an effective servo-controlled cutting system, without material deformation.

It is a cutting system with a knife integrated in the bending head, which allows cutting in a continuous automatic bending cycle. This prevents material waste and post-processing is often not necessary.

LOADING AND UNLOADING SYSTEMS

The EF-series is enormously versatile, the numerical control, easy to program, with a high capacity for storing programs, combined with a quick tool change, increases the productivity and versatility of these machines. Suitable for high speed assignments such as the automotive sector and for more varied assignments and shorter series such as furniture, aerospace, energy, etc.

EASE OF USE ON MAINTENANCE

In addition to the technical possibilities, the EF tube forming machines have also been developed with an eye on the use of operation and maintenance of the machines.

The design is compact and all components and are logically integrated into the design for easy access. The safety panels act as doors that release the entire front of the machine for intervention when opened.

There are no moving parts that cause high friction. All components are of a high quality and equipped with high performance linear guides, which means that the cycle time, electricity consumption and the need and cost of maintenance are significantly reduced.

HMI INTERFACE

The powerful control of the EF pipe end machining is easily programmable via the touchscreen.

All automatic sheet metal forming lines have been developed in close collaboration with our customers to meet all specifications. In terms of geometry, precision and stability of the profiled product, but also in terms of productivity and automation needs.

Nothing has been left to chance; our automatic profiling lines are future-proof. New roller sets or modules can always be added later. The RF series roll forming lines are fast, accurate and flexible, allowing sheet thicknesses from 0.3mm to 12mm at sheet widths up to 1400mm.

The VLB sheet metal roll forming machines contain highly innovative solutions and have proven themselves in a wide range of sectors in construction, logistics, automotive, agriculture, road safety, consumer goods and much more.

COIL UNWINDING MACHINE

It all starts with an unwinding machine. The VLB programm ranges from simple and light to the most robust (20 tons) versions; powered, with variable speed laser sensors and powerful integrated coil loading and unloading system.

PUNCHING MACHINE

Depending on the specifications of the finished product, a punching machine can be integrated into the roll forming line, either as a compact part of the line or as a standalone station, equipped with servo-controlled drives and touch screen programming for high accuracy and speed. The tools can be single or multiple, with independent pneumatic drive and CNC programming.

ROLL FORMING STATIONS

Depending on the application and versatility desired by the customer, the profiling lines can contain different systems such as quick-change cassettes, adjustable tools for producing profiles of different sizes, multiple tools for producing different profiles in the same arrangement, double roller sets with shared motorization, etc.

CUTTING AND UNLOADING PROFILES

The cut can be performed by a stationary saw, which makes the cut during a short stop, or by a high speed, servo-controlled cutting station. Last mentioned system allows the production of profiles without stops. In that case, our automatic unloading system must be used. It is of course possible to make straight cuts without waste, but also cuts at an angle.

The unloading systems are developed customer-specific, such as unloading on both sides in combination with a stacking or pallet table.

CONTROL

Components are integrated in the automatic VLB roll forming lines. They are individually controlled by a powerful and intuitive CNC controller.

This guarantees the connection between all process steps from the plate spool to the automatic unloading table.

PLATE WELDING UNIT

For companies with a high production speed, this welding system ensures that the ends of the plate on the coil are automatically welded (end of the coil with a new beginning), which saves a lot of time when replacing the coil and the material waste is considerable reduced.

VERTICAL PLATE STORAGE SYSTEM

The vertical plate storage system is used when it is not possible to make a pit in the floor, which contributes to the continuous operation of the roll forming line.

VLB profile rollers offer endless possibilities for bending profiles and pipes, regardless of the dimensions. Materials are constantly evolving in terms of mechanical properties and profile shapes, and designers and architects are pushing the boundaries with innovative shapes and geometries. VLB's R&D department applies its knowledge to developing solutions that exceed the expectations of complex bending work. The VLB range of bending machines is suitable for bending large pipe diameters and profiles up to IPE1000.

BUILT TO LAST

VLB machines are constructed according to the highest mechanical requirements. This applies to the construction of the frame and the supports of the shafts, which consist of high-definition laser and plasma-cut construction parts that are milled, turned and machined in the most stable way in one setup in our latest machining center with DAS + technology.

Result, a robust and extremely durable and stable structure!

The shafts are made of high quality steel (42CrMo4), milled on the latest generation of CNC lathes, heat treated for high hardness (54-56 hours) and then polished. The shafts are provided with self-lubricated and self-aligning bearings, which guarantees excellent performance and virtually no deflection.

POWER IN EVERY SITUATION

All movements of the VLB profile bending machines are generated by a powerful hydraulic group. The rotation of the rollers is independent and is executed by means of three hydraulic motors coupled to planetary gear units.

This system generates strength and control over the bending of profiles, even under extreme pressure. The movements of the side guides are controllable in three directions to facilitate the bending.

EASY OPERATION AND GUARANTEED REPEATABILITY

All movements are controlled from a separate central unit and the data is displayed in real time on a digital screen.

Depending on the application, the VLB 3-roll section benders can be equipped with two types of control; NC control with self-learning (teach-in) system or full CNC control for machining complex and difficult curves.

BENDING ROLLS FOR EVERY SITUATION

Our profile bending machines are standard equipped with a set of universal rollers. A wide range of standard profiles can be rolled with this modular tooling by combining different rolls.

In the case of specific bending or rolling work, our technical department has extensive knowledge and experience to develop the necessary bending rolls to bend any profile. The rollers are produced and meet the highest quality requirements.

Traditional sectors where bent pipes and profiles are used are the energy sector, the construction of boilers and heat exchangers, windmills and oil platforms, marine and aerospace, transport pipelines, earthmoving and technical constructions such as bridges, stadiums and buildings.
