At FABTECH 2022, booth B6309, TRUMPF will unveil a solution for sheet metal fabricators looking to get started in automated laser welding. The TruLaser Weld 1000 makes it easy to get started in automated laser welding. The entry-level system is well-suited for smaller companies, particularly job shops that weld products such as electrical cabinets, sheet metal boxes and covers.
The TruLaser Weld 1000 is productive, quick and easy to program and operate. An efficient divided work area allows a part to be welded on one side, while an operator loads or unloads on the other. The operator manually guides the robot over part seams to be welded and presses a button to mark relevant waypoints, and the software creates the program. A six-axis articulated arm enables the system to move faster and more precisely than standard collaborative robots, or cobots, resulting in high quality weld seams and less non-productive time.
