 Press Releases

  • HGG Profiling Equipment recently introduced its Remote Service Support capability with augmented reality (AR). Customers can expect timely on-site assistance without the need, or the delays, common with travel and scheduling. Instead, customers benefit from reliable real-time machine diagnosis and troubleshooting, immediate audio-visual feedback, and quick turnaround.

The remote service incorporates a special custom HGG helmet providing augmented reality When customers wear this helmet, an HGG engineer can see and hear what the customer sees and hears in real-time. More specifically, customers can share their exact view of machine parts and the machine area, enabling experienced HGG engineers to guide customers step-by-step using visual pointers to resolve issues or problems. The AR Remote support service facilitates expert machine analysis, while providing immediate audible communications through special headphones. Customers benefit from real-time on-site international assistance from the same HGG engineers who have installed and supported over 500 machines worldwide.

HGG, headquartered in Wieringerwerf, Netherlands, is a leading supplier of pipe cutting machines, robotic profile cutting lines and associated cutting equipment solutions around the world. HGG maintains subsidiaries in the Philippines, China, India, the Middle East, and in the United States.

With its new HGG subsidiary in Houston, Texas, HGG Profiling Equipment provides comprehensive sales and service support for the company’s growing customer base in North America, Central America, and South America. HGG Profiling Equipment serves an array of industry customers in Steel Construction, Piping Process Industries, Offshore/Onshore, Crane Building, Ship Building and others.

  • Houston, TX … HGG’s new RPC 1200 Mk3 is the first beam coping machine with the capability to profile structural beams, angle bars, channels, square tubes, plates, T-bars, and bulbs; and a versatile new capability to cut and profile pipes too. The RPC 1200 Mk3 provides fabricators an “all-in-one” 3D plasma-cutting robotic solution. Technological new feature innovations dramatically improve accuracy, quality, and overall productivity.

The RPC 1200 Mk3 features HGG’s unique laser beam measurement vision system, automatically scanning profiles for common imperfections, including flanges that are not always perfectly straight and bodies that are off-center and/or twisted, resulting in superior accuracy and perfect hole technology.

The RPC 1200 Mk3 combines HGG’s unique electronic measuring devices that compare the actual outside shape and position dimensions of the raw material to the cutting program, automatically compensating for any deviation on-the-fly without interrupting material preparation or profile cutting time. Along with providing better quality profiles and faster cutting, overall productivity is improved because layout time is eliminated and less grinding is required after parts are cut, saving users up to 20% in part fit-up.

The RPC 1200 Mk3 adds enough components to provide a complete fabrication shop in one machine. That includes dedicated HGG software for programming and work preparation, an in-feed roller conveyor and out-feed roller conveyor for smooth and efficient material handling, a cutting and marking cell with integrated downdraft table, a robotic plasma profile cutter for precision cutting and to provide the freedom to cut without limitations, a touch-screen operator interface with built-in macro shapes, and a laser vision system with electronic measuring devices.

HGG is a leading supplier of pipe cutting machines, robotic profile cutting lines and associated cutting equipment solutions around the world. HGG maintains subsidiaries in the Philippines, China, India, the Middle East, and the United States.

HGG Profiling Equipment, the HGG subsidiary located in Houston, Texas, provides comprehensive sales and service support for North America, Central America, and South America serving an array of industry customers in Steel Construction, Piping Process Industries, Offshore/Onshore, Crane Building, Shipbuilding, and others.

  • New ProCutter900 RB Automates & Streamlines on a Small Footprint. Total Process Pipe-Cutting Productivity

Along with an ability to accurately cut precision profiles from 2 to 36-inch diameter pipe up to 42 feet in length, the new ProCutter 900RB integrates a totally automated material handling system. With the infeed conveyor, raw material is continuously fed into the machine; cut and profiled, and then systematically moved out parallel to the cutting table. Our 2-point fume extraction system optimizes operator safety. Precision accuracy dramatically reduces grinding, fitting, and welding after pipe profiles are cut. Proprietary HGG software provides easy 3D parameter-based part profile programming and work preparation; a three-jaw chuck secures pipe positioning; a durable pipe support and cutting bed with roller bed makes pipe loading and unloading easy; a cutting trolly with biaxial cutting uses plasma; and an operator interface with graphic touch-screen navigation is easy to use.
