What are Networking Excursions?
Networking Excursions are scheduled activities hosted and facilitated by your company March 6-8, 2021, for attendees to meet your experts online “face-to-face” and receive subject matter consultation and information. When students enter your booth, you will not be notified or "see" the students come into your booth unless they enter a Networking Excursion. For you to have a face-to-face experience with the students who enter your booth, a Networking Excursion(s) must be created for your booth.
When a Networking Excursion is added to your booth, the Excursion icon will appear next to your company name in the Exhibitor List. There is also an Networking Excursions Gallery for attendees to see all of the exhibitors who will be "live" in their booths.
To see an example, visit the Interactive Floorplan and click on AMSA's booth #54.
Networking Excursions Schedule
As attendees map out their journey through the fAMSA Exchange, they will be looking for ways to network with you, receive your expert consultation and discover the resources just for them. On Saturday, March 6 through Monday, March 8, we are suggesting specific times for your team to be present in your booth for attendees to enter your Networking Excursions, which are fueled by your organization’s conferencing tool, such as Zoom, Google Hangouts, GoToMeetings, Skype, etc. Please remember that all AMSACon events are taking place in Eastern Time.
For the best participation, consider staffing your booth and holding your Networking Excursions during the following times:
Saturday, March 6, 1:00pm - 5:00pm ET
Sunday, March 7, 1:00pm - 4:30pm ET
Monday, March 8, 1:00pm - 4:00pm ET
What type of excursion should I host?
You can hold any activity as an excursion and use any video conference platform. Just include the meeting invite link in the description of the Networking Excursion. Some excursion ideas include:
- Meet and greet with your famous authors, renowned faculty and subject experts
- Speed networking sessions
- Product demonstrations
- Focus groups
- Fun interactive games
How can I promote my Networking Excursions?
The Convention attendee list will be available through AMSA's official list manager INFOCUS Marketing in February. To order the official Convention attendee list, there will be an order form linked to this webpage. Exhibitors should be cautious of any unauthorized entity claiming to have the AMSA Convention registration list. Only AMSA and AMSA's official list provider INFOCUS Marketing have the official AMSA Convention registration list. Orders to rent the official AMSACon 2021 registration list for pre- and post-event email marketing will be fulfilled only by INFOCUS Marketing and on a first-come, first-served basis. All orders are subject to AMSA's approval, and AMSA reserves the right to reject any order and limit the number of emails deployed to Convention registrants.
When should I promote my Networking Excursions?
